What's more, over half of our employees hold positions that support physicians, or help make our products more advanced. In the year 2000 alone, we added 225 additional scientists with highly specialized skills to our highly productive worldwide teams. That's in addition to the 6,500+ people we already employed around the world. In addition to having the largest pharmaceutical research facility on the west coast of America, we have world-class R & D centers in the U.K., France, and Japan.

Breast Implants and Beyond

Our silicone gel-filled breast implants have been successfully used for more than 25 years, in more than 60 countries. They have also been the implants of choice, where both saline-filled and silicone gel-filled implants are available. To date, our silicone gel-filled and saline-filled breast implants have been implanted in over 1,000,000 women worldwide.

The Natrelle^® Collection is just one of many innovations that we have developed.
As a global leader in medical aesthetic innovations, we have also created a variety
of treatments. These include BOTOX^® Cosmetic (botulinum toxin type A),
JUVEDERM^® dermal filler and RESTASIS^® ophthalmic emulsion prescription
eye drops for dry eye. Additionally, we have created skin-care products like
PREVAGE^® MD anti-aging treatment, as well as LAP-BAND^® Adjustable
Gastric Banding System weight-loss surgery.

Training That's Second to None

ALLERGAN ACADEMY^® is an ongoing educational program to support surgeons and physicians with access to important information about silicone gel-filled and saline-filled
breast implants, detailed explanations of the latest surgical techniques, tools for planning,
and more.
